Current holders Cork are now the only team to stand in Galway's way of achieving a rare league and championship double this season.
Both teams came through their semi-final jousts - Galway, with a one-point win over Wexford (1-14 to 2-10), and Cork a little more comfortably with a 4-10 to 1-10 victory over Kilkenny.

A goal by Cork captain Ciara O’Sullivan after just 20 seconds set Cork up for the best possible start, and points from Valerie Mulcahy, Deirdre O’Reilly and O’Sullivan saw them lead by seven at half-time (1-6 to 0-2).

Pat Lam has selected a 30-man squad for the camp, including Ireland squad member Kieran Marmion, who has been temporarily released by Ireland coach Joe Schmidt. The trip to the south of France will culminate in another French challenge, against Castres, tomorrow evening.

Live rugby action returns to the Sportsground next Friday for the first of Connacht’s pre-season friendlies of the 2015/16 season, against French side FC Grenoble.
Former Connacht players Bernard Jackman, head coach at Grenoble, and Andrew Farley, team manager, will bring their Top 14 side to Galway on Friday August 7 for a 5:15pm kick off. It has been 10 years since Grenoble last played in Galway when the French side were drawn in the same Challenge Cup pool as Connacht.

In second place, was the Willie Mullins trained The Paparrazi Kid which returned at 12/1. The winner was ridden by Cork jockey Johnny Burke and trained in County Waterford by Henry de Bromhead, who also trained third placed Sadler’s Risk.
