Hurlers fail to sparkle under lights

The Galway hurlers went down by 1-17 to 0-13 last Saturday in Parnell Park.

It was a lacklustre performance by Micheál Donoghue's men and they had a poor second half when Dublin hit them with a flurry of scores to put the game out of Galway’s reach.

David Treacy was a key man for Dublin and he ended the game with 0-10 (9fs ) to his credit.

The enforced substitution of Joe Canning and Greg Lally had a negative effect on Galway’s chances of back-to-back wins, and Dublin fully merited their seven point win.

And it does not get any easier for Galway. They are away on Sunday week in Nowlan Park against their nemesis Kilkenny, who had a super win last weekend over Tipperary, winning by 2-17 to 0-18.
