"The lockdown has provided us with a great opportunity. Never has there been a better time for self-improvement and up-skilling. I can give my full attention to the projects that have been sitting on the sidelines. Unfortunately as a sports fan, the postponement of sport is certainly one of the disadvantages.

"I work in admin for a local company in the city. However, because of the social distancing restrictions I cannot go into work. The lockdown has affected me negatively because I visit my family members on a weekly basis normally and cannot do that now for their safety and my own. I am also unable to mind my grandparents who are recovering from surgery which has been tough for me.

"I am living in Heidelberg Germany. We are in lockdown here but are still allowed out for a walk and to get some fresh air. The children are finding it hard, in particular, my daughter who loves gymnastics. Thank God we have a garden and that is where we spend most of the time or playing Ninjago lego with my son. I am working from my home office.

"Here in Dallas county, I am working from home. They have ordered a shelter in place for all residents so I won’t be back in my office before April 5. We are allowed to go to the supermarket, walk dogs, and exercise outside but even then people are walking five people wide on paths. All I do is work at home and then go for a jog in the evening to clear my head.

"I get to work during this strange time we are in. I am a nurse in North Carolina, USA. So far we have only had a few cases where I am but places are closed or only doing takeout or delivery which is good.

"I am spending my downtime running and helping my brother build a flowerbed so he can grow his veggies. Sending all my love to all my friends and family back home. Stay safe."

"Luckily for some of us, we work from home and I can see this way of working will become more the norm (and it is greener) once broadband is rolled out to all corners of the country. So I have been catching up on the boring stuff and becoming a domestic goddess (oh and doing laundry); baking muffins (and sharing but also eating them); and binging on TV; sorting photos; and cutting the grass. My travel crossword book is getting a bit of use (as we won't be flying for a good while) and I also sang on a video to my sons for Mother’s Day (not for the public as cats and dogs may run for cover). We are keeping our spirits up and praising our front liners and all those going to work to help us through this. Stay safe and please mind yourselves."

"I am extremely busy at home as usual lately, no time or place for boredom and not enough time to do what I want, just stressed out by idiotic noisy neighbours. I'm not leaving the house even if it is postatomic (except for just running away back to Galway again) - I wish I never left it and now I cannot even run away back there.

"Love, stay safe, be well to my fellow deprived buskers Joel O'Neill, Niceol Blue, Moises Mas Garcia, and friends; Galway Street Club; Galway Buskers Community; to my open mic night hosts Ollie Keogh, Liam Carroll, their families and friends; to the ladies at the Aran Woollen store; to my local TD/leader, Mairead Farrell; to the Galway Advertiser staff particularly Declan Varley, Kernan Andrews, and their families; to the Casserly family in Athenry; and to anyone else who remembers me from back in 2013 to 2014 and my brief visits in 2015, 2017, and 2018."
