Naoise Martin, owner, lead nail technician, and beauty therapist at Glam Gals, has been in the industry for more than 20 years. Noticing it was very difficult to find good staff qualified in nail extensions, she decided to open her own training academy in 2015 which she now runs together with her beauty salon on Shop Street, Galway.
If you have always wanted to get into the beauty industry then Glam Gals' AIT accredited courses are for you. The Glam Gals team really are experts in their field, the academy has already expanded its range of courses to include gel polish, nail art, spray tanning, and threading. Evening and weekend workshops are available and a payment plan option is available.
Who can sign up
These courses are open to everyone, male and female, from absolutely beginners to therapists looking to add to their CV while boosting there beauty know-how.
If you are interested in a career in the beauty industry, training as a nail technician is the first step towards reaching that goal. Over the past few years there has been a huge growth in nail care, from extensions to shellac manicures. Because of this there are many opportunities available for professional, qualified, nail technicians in salons throughout the west of Ireland, or why not add spray tanning or threading and become the best mobile therapist in your area.
Glam Gals beauty academy, part of the successful Glam Gals beauty salon, is now taking bookings for its autumn courses.
Polish up your skills
Trainers will be educated in all the up-to-date methods. At the end of each course there will be a practical exam and once passed trainees will be issued with Glam Gals' AIT accreditation. Most of the beauty courses can be completed in one day, and the nail extensions course in three days. All participants will be confident and capable of carrying out these treatments. It is not a requirement to be a beauty therapist to attend these courses.
