Galway footballer Sean Armstrong; Michael O Donnell, Galway Minor Footballer John O’Reilly of Pearse Stadium Catering; Donal Lyons, chairman Salthill Knocknacarra GAA Club; and Sara O Reilly, Pearse Stadium Catering, at the launch of the Salthill Knocknacarra GAA Club Poker Fundraiser which takes place tomorrow. The city club, which provide facilities and coaching in all GAA disciplines and age groups for more than 600 juveniles, hopes to raise training funds for the season ahead. The evening will boast a top-class prize pool of €5,000. Registration takes place from 6.30pm, with bonus chips given to those who register before 6.45pm. The tournament action starts at 7.15pm. The Galway minor footballers are in action this Sunday (1.30pm) in the 2010 All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park where they face a fancied Cork side.

This Galway side was beaten by Mayo in the Connacht final after conceding a few goals in the second half, but they bounced back to record a good win over Longford in the All-Ireland quarter-final at Hyde Park.

The Galway senior camogie team must do it all again this Sunday in Thurles at 3.30pm when they take on Cork in the replay of the All-Ireland semi-final.

The sides produced a classis encounter last weekend in Nowlan Park, ending 3-13 to Galway and 1-17 to Cork, with the Rebels very fortunate to snatch a replay with two late frees from Síle Burns.
