New Connacht Rugby coach Pat Lam has added a strong Kiwi flavour in completing his squad for next season.
The final two signings are both New Zealanders, former u-20 World Cup captain Jake Heenan, and James So’oialo, the brother of former All Black Rodney and Samoan international scrumhalf Steven. And with Chief’s captain Craig Clarke also a new recruit this season, it brings to eight the number of Kiwis/South Pacific Islanders on the Connacht squad.

Oranmore Badminton Club made history this year with two club teams claiming All Ireland titles.
In an amazing finish to the season, the club’s grade seven and grade nine teams came out on top at the Baldoyle Badminton Centre in Dublin - the first time two teams from the club had made it to All Ireland final day - while the Galway Lawn Tennis Club team won the grade eight title.
