Galway RNLI Lifeboat helped bring a mother and child to safety after their small dinghy got into difficulty near Kinvara yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.

The Dublin woman and her four-year-old son were in the dinghy when strong winds caused the vessel to drift up onto Mulrooney Island (between Kinvara village and Parkmore Pier) at about 12.40pm.
