The winners will be honoured at a Gala Banquet and Presentation to be held in the Galway Bay Hotel on Saturday March 21, compered by Ollie Turner and broadcast live on Galway Bay fm.

Tomi lost 35 members of his family during the Holocaust but never lost his ability to show empathy to others. Anne Frank was a fellow prisoner in Bergen Belsen but sadly she didn’t survive.

County councillor lashes TII over road delays caused by flooding

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) is useless when it comes to dealing with flooding on national roads in the county, that is according to Galway county councillor Jim Cuddy.

The independent councillor’s comments come after motorists travelling from Tuam to Galway were involved in two hour traffic jams due to roads issues in Claregalway.
