Medical herbalist Patrick Murphy will be hosting his energy health screening open day at The Clayton Hotel, Galway, on Sunday May 19 from 9am to 6pm using the Supertronic health screening device.

An energy health screening session with the Supertronic device which is used throughout Europe in many doctors' and herbalists' practices would usually cost €180 but at Patrick Murphy's open day, those in attendance can receive a one-to-one full energy health screening for only €50.

Galway Technical Institute presents the artists and designers of the future in its 2019 student exhibition. Students from four groups — art: portfolio preparation QQI Level 5; drawing and visual inquiry QQI Level 6; animation QQI Level 6; and furniture making and design QQI Level 5 — will be showing the results of their year’s hard work from Friday May 24 to Tuesday May 28, (excluding Sunday) from 10am until 4pm.

The opening reception is on at 7pm on Thursday May 23 and Meadhbh McNutt, artist, writer, and co-director at 126 Gallery and recipient of 2016 Aesthetics and Art Theory Award from Kingston University London, will be the guest speaker and will formally open the exhibition.
