TUAM POET and singer-songwriter Seamus Ruttledge, and friends, will play the A Night For Celia concert, upstairs in the Róisín Dubh on Thursday July 26 at 9pm.

The event is a charity concert with proceeds going towards the Galway Famine Ship Memorial and the Celia Griffin Children’s Park at Grattan Road beach.

THE ATHENRY Music School Guitar Orchestra will perform a lunchtime concert in the Augustinian Church as part of the Galway Fringe Festival.

The concert takes place on Friday July 27 at 1.15pm. The concert will showcase talent in the local community through a repertoire composed specifically for the ensemble by Kevin Brett and Ross O’Farrell, the directors of Athenry Music School, a not-for-profit organisation established to nurture and develop musical talent.
