BLUES-ROCK band Strange Brew, whose members hail from Ireland, Poland, Gibraltar, and England, play Monroe’s Backstage Bar on Thursday August 9.

Lead vocalist, Romek was born in Gdansk and toured Poland with various jazz, swing, soul, and blues groups, including the Mietek Blues Band, with whom he recorded several albums. Guitarist Simon is from London and is a former member of r’n’b band Mojo Chill’n.

The classes will take place from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Room MY 124 in the university. The course will deal with poetry and prose, with an emphasis on studying the structures and formations of poetry and on reading material in both prose and poetry.
