Leading Irish comedian to play Town Hall Theatre

DAVID O'DOHERTY – the Ryanair Enya, the Aldi Bublé – returns to Galway with his show Big Time, an hour of talking, songs, and high good humour.

Recipient of the So You Think You're Funny? Award for best new act at the 1999 Edinburgh Fringe, David went on to win the Perrier Award for best comedy show on the Fringe nine years later. Since then he has toured the world and appeared on Conan O'Brien, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and filmed his own US Comedy Central half hour. He is also the author of the best-selling children's book series, Danger is Everywhere, the latest volume of which, School of Danger, was launched at last year's Edinburgh Book Festival.

He was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe and the Barry Humphries Award for best show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. This year has seen him tour with Flight of the Conchords and undertake his own largest UK tour to date.
