Dolores Keane to perform live from Fleadh on Tg4

Dolores Keane will be taking to the stage live on Tg4 tomorrow night as the Fleadh Cheoil returns to Mullingar for 2023 back to where it all began in 1951.

TG4 will be ‘Fleadh Cheoil Central’ broadcasting four live shows on 10th, 11th ,12th and 13th August full of the very best of Irish song, music, and dance. The station will also be livestreaming some of the competitions on its player and be sure to follow @TG4TV social channels for behind-the-scenes action and music in Mullingar, or join the conversation online using #Fleadh2023

To compete at the All-Ireland finals, you must first qualify through your province. In the past four weeks presenters Doireann Ní Ghlacáin and Peadar Ó Goill have been travelling the length and breadth of the country, meeting some of the country’s finest musicians, some of whom were hoping to qualify for the All-Ireland competitions, all of whom will be landing in Mullingar at some point over the week-long festival. Coverage from the provincial finals can be seen on TG4 on Sunday 6th August at 9.30pm on Fleadh 2023 Na Cúigí. In this programme Doireann and Peadar will take viewers on a trip across the four provincial finals in Ballina, Dublin, Tralee and Dromore to catch up with some of our top and emerging musical talent.

Among the musicians are some of Galway's best including, Dolores Keane on Friday night, dancers The Gardiners Brothers on Thursday night, Enda Scahill from Corofin and Claddaghduff's Mirella Murray from the band Cherish the Ladies on Saturday night.

Fleadh 2023 will be broadcast live for four consecutive nights on TG4 from Thursday through to Sunday from 9.30pm to 11pm. Presenters Peadar and Doireann will be joined by co-presenter Aoife Ní Thuairisg, along with the cream of Irish musical talent from all over Ireland, and beyond.

On Thursday night we have live performances from Natalie MacMaster, Donnell Leahy & Family, Taobh na Mara Céilí Band, Tim Edey, The Gardiner Brothers, Síomha, Ger O’Donnell, Trevor Sexton with George Murphy & Meadhbh Walsh, D’Bize, Gráinne Hambly, and Craobh Pheig Úi Riain CCÉ.

Friday night see the following take to the stage include Dolores Keane, Téada, Méabh Ní Bheaglaoich, Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich, Emmet Cahill, Paul Dooley & Kseniya Rusnak, The Dublin Lasses, Antóin MacGabhann & family.

On Saturday night we will be entertained by Cherish The Ladies, Máire Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin and Ultan O’Brien, Enda Scahill & Mick Conneely, Strange Boy, Meitheal Orchestra, Fusion Fighters, The Melbourne Céilí Band, and Tempest.

For the final night on Sunday we have a mixture of musician from all over the world including T With The Maggies, Liz Doherty & Fiddlesticks, Ryan Molloy and friends – The Piano Summit, Mark Redmond and Pipers of the World (feat. Pamela Schweblin, Liam Winnett and more ), Dan McCabe, Billow Wood, Tura Arutura, Tara Howley, Tulua and Doon Road
