DRUID THEATRE Company and Aerogen won Best Small Sponsorship Award at the recent Business to Arts awards, for their partnership on the DruidGregory Education and Community programme.

DruidGregory, Druid’s Galway 2020 commission, toured 13 outdoor venues in County Galway during September and October of last year. As part of the tour, Druid instigated an education and community programme engaging with schools and communities in the touring locations, with a programme of making the works of Lady Augusta Gregory and Tom Murphy accessible to young audiences.

Aerogen, the world leader in high-performance aerosol drug delivery in the acute care sector reaching more than 13 million patients, in more than 75 countries, was a key partner on this programme which focused on inclusion and access to the arts, community togetherness, and artistic expression.

“At a time when Aerogen were part of the extraordinary frontline fight against Covid-19, they were also helping us make theatre accessible,” said Druid’s executive director, Feargal Hynes. “We are thrilled the programme has been recognised with this reward and look forward to developing it further in the future.”

John Power, Aerogen CEO and founder, said: “We are very proud to have been involved with the DruidGregory, and we were delighted to see the Druid team recognised for their incredible work.”
