Garda appeal over hit and run

Gardai in Galway are currently investigating a possible hit and run accident which occurred on Tuesday September 17 2019 between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on St Francis Street, Galway.

The injured party was crossing the street to catch the 402 Bus Éireann bus heading in the Knocknacarra direction when he alleges he was struck by a car which left the scene.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area or on the 402 bus to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Burglary in Craughwell

On Tuesday December 3 between 2.40pm and 3.10pm a house was broken into in the Caherfinsker area of Craughwell.

During this burglary, a quantity of distinctive Indian jewellery was taken. Anyone with any information in relation to this burglary or who may have been offered jewellery for sale is asked to contact Athenry Garda Station on 091-844016.

Woodquay break-in

On the night of December 4 between 11.30pm and 12.30am, business premises were broken into in the Woodquay area of Galway city.

Anyone who noticed any person acting suspiciously in the area around these times is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Cash stolen in Oranmore

On Friday December 6 a house was broken into in the Moyville area of Oranmore.

During this break in a small quantity of cash was taken.

Anyone with any information in relation to this burglary is asked to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030.
