So Cow to launch new album with Tuam gig

Are you ready for songs about one man's fear of fairy forts?

SO COW, the indie-rock one-man band that is Brian Kelly, launches the new album - Do Re Mi Fa So Cow - with a gig in his hometown of Tuam, playing Canavan's this Saturday, August 24, at 8.30pm.

Do Re Mi Fa So Cow, the follow-up to 2016's Lisa Marie Airplane Tour, is available on CD and hipster approved cassette. From September it will be available to stream on Spotify. It was recorded entirely by Brian Kelly, between work, washing machine cycles, parenting, and sleep, in a utility room of a house just outside Galway.

The album explores themes of ageing, sleep deprivation, developing a fear of fairy forts, and, as Kelly says, the question of "are people going to listen to a 36-year-old singing punk-pop songs about ageing, sleep deprivation and fairy forts?"

Admission is €5. Support is from singer-songwriters Big Monster Love and A Lilac Decline.
