Pat Lam says it’s “fantastic” to have five of our Connacht men named in the Ireland squad for November. “Their inclusion is thoroughly deserved and we’re all very proud of them. When you consider this time last year we only had one player in the camp with Robbie [Henshaw] and now we have five, it is a huge testament to the playersm, their teammates, the backroom staff, and what we’re all trying to do here at Connacht Rugby.
Lam says one of the pleasing aspects is the inclusion of Darragh Leader who is following in the footsteps of local guys like Eric Elwood.

Mountbellew/Moylough were too good for Salthill/Knocknacarra in the county minor final played on Sunday at Tuam Stadium. The black and amber men cruised home by 1-9 to 0-6.
The winners had star players in team captain Michael Daly, his brother John, full-forward Eoin Finnerty, Colm Mannion, Colin Ryan, and goal-keeper Michael Foley. Substitute Patrick Keaveney scored their goal.
