Pupils don’t learn to read music, there are no exams, a minimum of music theory, no requirement to learn dull boring pieces, and no pressure to perform. According to course tutor, Kevin McNicholas: ‘It’s all about playing music for the sheer fun of it. Playing guitar is not a talent, it’s a skill. That means anybody can learn.’
