A Leaving Cert student who tragically lost her life when her vehicle collided with another in Portumna on Bank Holiday Monday is to be laid to rest today.
Seventeen-year-old Claire Prendergast from Dangan, Golden, in Tipperary, had been the front seat passenger in a Nissan Micra car, which also contained two other female occupants, when it collided with a Mercedes-Benz at Thornfield, Portumna, at around 11.25am on October 31 last.
