Efforts to sell Shannon Oaks Hotel are intensifying, says Higgins

Efforts to sell the Shannon Oaks Hotel in Portumna are now intensifying, according to Senator Lorraine Higgins.

The Galway East senator has been campaigning to have the hotel reopened and has been liaising with the receiver, Grant Thornton, for the past year. Grant Thornton has now confirmed that the hotel will not be rebuilt it will be sold in its present state.
