Thriving Galway Taxis announces plans to expand its fleet

Thu, Mar 12, 2015

Galway Taxis has over the last two years changed its dispatch system to allow online and app bookings from smartphones. This has resulted in a growth in overall business over the last six months. The Galway Taxis app is now in operation for more than two years and accounts for almost 15 per cent of all bookings. With more than 4,500 app downloads on Android and iPhone, the company plans to introduce a Windows app later this year. Galway Taxis will be the first taxi app to provide its services on this platform.

Customers who use the app pay no callout fee, and have options to pay the fare by card, find the closest car, and to see the cars on screen before making a booking; these have proven to be key to giving customers what they are looking for in a taxi app. The online booking facility allows customers without smartphones the same access to this vital tracking information. Customers can open an account at www.galwaytaxis.biz.
