Applications open for diploma in Irish studies at NUI Galway

NUI Galway’s Centre for Irish Studies is now taking applications for its diploma in Irish studies. This online diploma provides an interdisciplinary introduction to Irish life and culture from the Pagan Celtic world and the coming of Christianity, through to the establishment of the State and the new millennium from the perspectives of archaeology, history, literature, political science and sociology, and Irish music and dance.

Programme director Dr Michelle Comber said: “For anyone with a deep interest in Irish culture this is the ideal starting point, especially those without access to traditional courses in this area.”

How does this apply to your training? Well most people, like my friends in Newcastle, tend to start by doing the same training again and again. They run the same distance at the same pace every time they train. They wonder why after a few races they keep getting the same results.
