Large number of posts in European institutes

Thu, Sep 29, 2016

The European Union recently ended the derogation it had granted Ireland providing an adequate number of trained translators in the Irish language to take up posts in European institutes. The union has now announced that it will fill up to 150 posts in the near future so that the required translation of all documents in the Irish language is made available.

The Dioplóma Iarchéime/MSc/Teastas i nGaeilge Fheidhmeach agus Aistriúchán provided by Europus/GMIT and funded by Údarás na Gaeltachta has provided the European institutes with a very high number of translators since the course commenced. The course is renowned for the high standards achieved by students and the number of high level posts gained by the course’s graduates at European level and here in Ireland in Government and semi-State organisations and in other related language sectors such as television, radio, subtitling, and other language areas. The course runs for six months and students are not required to pay a fee. The next course starts in the middle of October and all information is available from Europus in An Cheathrú Rua, 091 595492, at [email protected], and on the web.
