Recently described by Hotel & Restaurant Times Magazine as “Crafted Perfection”, Galway's chicest eatery, Caprice Cafe, celebrates its first birthday on Thursday July 6th. In less than a year since it’s opening, Caprice has grown in popularity wowing Galwegians and visitors with its delicious dishes served in beautiful surroundings. Located at the corner of Church Lane and Market Street, Caprice has certainly added to the vibrancy of the area. To mark their first birthday, Owner Vicky Casey and the team at Caprice have come together with the team at Galway Catering to create a very special barbecue event not to be missed which will take place at Caprice on Thursday July 6th from 7pm.

Cregmore students discover the deep sea and marine on RV Celtic Explorer leading up to SEAFEST

Students from 4th class at Cregmore national school recently visited the research vessel RV Celtic Explorer as part of their marine-science and art project building up to SeaFest, Ireland’s national maritime festival. The project places art, marine science and technology in the heart of the classroom where the students have been learning about marine life and activity under the sea for the past six months. It involves TULCA in partnership with Marine Institute Explorers Education Programme, artist Louise Manifold, marine scientist Dr. Andy Wheeler, and Cregmore National School.
