Summer is finally here and it is time to celebrate with good company and a welcoming menu of delectable food from the barbecue specially created by head chef Adrian Bane. With a medley of divine goodies from the grill there are three menus from which to choose. From €18.50 per person, guests can enjoy an Irish 6oz chuck and brisket burger, finished with smoked cheddar cheese and bacon jam; Galway made stout and onion sausages glazed with honey and mustard; or chickpea and lentil veggie burgers served with fresh mozzarella and sun-kissed tomatoes. Plus, a range from the grill including cider glazed pork belly, overnight slow roasted beef brisket with whiskey and coffee glaze, and Connemara lamb lolli-chops served with a rosemary and honey aioli, with additional costs per person starting from €3.50.

Some months after Lady Christobel Ampthill’s spectacular accident (her horse who refused to jump a flooding stream, and she was thrown into the river, and nearly drowned), Michel Déon and his wife Chantal, came across her sitting in her car near Kinvara.* She clearly looked distressed. There was a rumour that she had not fully recovered from her accident. She was getting forgetful.
