STEVE HUGHES, the Australian heavy metal drummer turned hit comedian is coming to Galway with his new show While It’s Still Legal.
Steve takes to the stage of the Róisín Dubh on Monday December 9 at 8pm, where he is set to deliver thoughtful, outspoken, social commentary and caustic anti-establishment humour.

The Cúirt New Writing Prize 2014 is open for submissions in poetry and fiction from Thursday November 28.
There is a €500 cash prize for the winner in each category. The winners will be published in a Cúirt publication to be launched at the 2014 festival. The judges are poet Martin Dyar and fiction writer Mary Costello.

A SILENT Disco for children will take place this Saturday in the Seapoint Ballroom, Salthill, from 2pm.
The ‘Silent Disco For Kids’, presented by the Róisín Dubh, will see two DJs playing songs to hundreds of people dancing and singing along to chart hits, anthems, guilty pleasures, fun songs, and pure cheese - except no music will be heard as they will be all wearing headphones.
