IN A rural pub by the name of Dwyer’s, the clientele includes self employed builder Paddy, ex-Army man John, gullible farm labourer Mick, local curate Fr Lavery, and religious devotee Mrs Hanlon.
The pub is owned by widower Jim who has a son called Joe in his twenties. The time is the 1980s. This is Dwyer’s by Kieran Tyrrell which will be staged by Agus Anocht... Theatre Company in the Nuns Island Theatre Galway on August 12 and 13 at 7.30pm. These are charity performances and all proceeds will go to Ability West.
