American singer-songwriter Ari Heist did something similar in 2008 when he embarked on his ambitious ‘52’ project, when he spent that year immersed in an effort to write, record, produce, and release one new song per week for 52 weeks in a row.

Charlie was born Charlie Winston Gleave in Cornwall in 1978. His older brother, Tom Baxter and younger sister, Vashti Anna, also use their middle name as a stage surname. Their parents gave them middles name to use as a stage name as they thought their offspring were destined for a life on stage.
