THE GALWAY Cathedral Recitals 2010 Summer Concerts programme starts next week and will feature Susan Landale, Malcolm Proud, and the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne.

The recitals will be held on Thursdays at 8pm for six weeks, starting on July 8 with a performance by Prof Susan Landale, the Scottish-born Paris based performer and teacher. She will perform music by Bach, Mendelssohn, and Liszt.

THE GALWAY Theatre Festival is seeking new play scripts for this year’s Rehearsed Reading Series. The festival takes place from October 25 to 31.

Scripts will be accepted from Irish or Ireland-based writers only and must be written in either Irish or English. Plays must not have had a previous production or be scheduled for production and must not exceed one hour in length.
