Kenny’s Vibrant Synchronies

VIBRANT SYNCHRONIES, a group exhibition, will officially open in The Kenny Gallery, Liosbán, tomorrow at 3pm.

The show consists of the paintings and sculpture by 13 artists from 11 different countries, many of whom have previously been selected to exhibit their work in Estense Castle in Ferrara, Italy. They have come together under the professional guidance and curatorial skills of Paola Trevisan.

A CONCERT of guitar and cello music, with ConTempo’s Adrian Mantu and John Feeley, takes place in the Druid Lane Theatre tomorrow at 1pm.

The concert, which is part of the Galway Early Music Festival, is entitled Lost Innocence: Pastoral Music and Poetry Throughout the Ages. It will see cellist Mantu and guitarist Feeley perform music by Bazelaires, Marais, Bach and others, interspersed with pastoral themed poetry.

In the company’s new ballet Cinderella - After The Ball, choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple presents the not quite so ‘happily ever after’ couple back from honeymoon and having to face Buttons and the Ugly Sisters; Cinderella’s struggles as a working class woman now living as a royal; and the bankrupt Prince’s plans to auction off The Glass Slippers. Looks like it’s fairy Godmother to the rescue again.
