KILLARY FJORD in Connemara will be the location for Mary Coughlan’s ‘Blues Cruise’ concert this Saturday.

The concert will feature Mary and her band performing on board the sightseeing catamaran, the Connemara Lady, which is operated by Killary Cruises at Leenane. The concert forms part of a series of musical events being organised by Killary Cruises. The next such concert will feature Juliette Turner on Saturday June 2.

Mephisto Theatre Company auditions

GALWAY-BASED theatre company Mephisto is holding auditions next week for its forthcoming summer production of The Mai by Marina Carr.

The Mai centres on four generations of women from the same family who struggle to come to terms with effects of their love and how it can be damaged but remain true. The play will be staged in August on the main stage of the Town Hall Theatre.
