Irish dancing night for Haiti

THE VERY best of Galway’s Irish music and dance talent comes out in force on Saturday to support The Haven Partnerships Haiti ‘Build It Week’.
From 8pm to 10.30pm, Monroe’s Live will play host to Music at the Crossroads, Celtic Rhythm, The Hession School of Dancing, Dance of Desire, Emma Brady, and will include Connacht, All Ireland, and World champion musicians and dancers.

THE IF.Comedy Award winning comedian Brendon Burns is brining his new show ‘Y’know Love n God n Metaphysics n Shit’ to this year’s Galway Comedy Festival.
Brendon will be performing the show on Friday October 22 in the Radisson Live Lounge, alongside Andrew Maxwell, Dead Cat Bounce, and Eric Lalor, and in the Town Hall theatre on Saturday 23, alongside Rich Hall and Jason Byrne.

THE GALWAY Theatre Festival is launching a Seat Sale on Monday October 18, when, for six days only, a limited number of tickets will be on sale for only €4.99.
Tickets will be available from the Galway Arts Centre from 10am to 5.30pm from October 18 to 23 and must be purchased in person at the front desk. Tickets are limited to two per show per person but patrons may purchase tickets for multiple shows.

3 PIECE Suite, a new show from Chrysalis Dance, featuring a triple bill of world premieres - Turn Out The Stars, The Other Way, and Connect For - will be performed in Galway this month.

With a tired sigh I thought ‘oh no, not another Katherine Heigl rom-com’ but to my surprise, I really enjoyed this movie which not only had plenty of hilarious comedy scenes but also included some poignant moments where the question of true friendship, and love, is explored.
