Bringing this motto to her lecture, she will give her audience space to think about the genocide in Gaza in a space of equality, to reflect on the Global Sumud Flotillas, and explore our lack of agency as a subversive society.

My Father’s Shadow (streaming on Mubi soon) was another Iraqi film which won a Special Mention award at the same festival; a brilliant film that depicts the country’s tumultuous history through children’s eyes.
