THE GALWAY City Museum will host an evening of Indian classical music in the museum’s Café 8 this Sunday at 7pm.
This month's event will feature the renowned sarodist Sougata Roy Choudhury, accompanied by Ciro Montanari on tabla. Sougata is a world class performer and teacher of North Indian classical music and has been coming to Ireland every year since 2006 for concerts and workshops. Ciro is a member of Galway group, The Bahh Band.

GALWAY’S ANAM Theatre company will bring another classic of Russian literature to the theatre stage with Alexander Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin as part of the Galway Theatre Festival.
At least year’s festival Anam performed Brian Friel’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s story The Yalta Game. This time the company has produced a stage adaptation of Pushkin’s verse novel, which was published in series form between 1825 and 1837.
