AS FRONTMAN for outrageous Detroit band Electric Six, he brought us to the ‘Gay Bar’ and warned us of the dangers of ‘High Voltage’. These days Dick Valentine is solo and about to make a welcome return to Galway.
Dick Valentine (born Tyler Spencer ) will play an acoustic show at Monroe’s Backstage Bar on Saturday August 26 as part of his current Irish and UK tour. The gig will feature acoustic versions of songs from Electric Six catalogue as well as songs from his three solo albums. Dick's fourth solo album, Robocalls, is mostly acoustic in scope and was recorded in Brooklyn, New York, and in Warren, Michigan. It will be released on August 21, just before his Monroe’s show.
