Electro new wave from Vann Music

Dublin quartet to play Monroe's Rocktoberfest

IRISH ELECTRO-pop/new wave quartet Vann Music will be among the bands playing the Roctoberfest weekender in Monroe's Live, taking to the stage of the Dominick Street venue tomorrow.

The Dublin band - Aaron Smyth (lead vocals, guitar, synth ), Phil Costello (guitar, synth, vocals ), Robert von Bergen (drums ), Ross Fortune, aka BennySmiles (bass, synth, vocals ) - played their first show supporting eighties electro-pop duo China Crisis. Their performance earned them festival appearances at Electric Picnic, Longitude, Castlepalooza, Indiependence, Other Voices and Guinness Amplify; sold out shows at the Button Factory and Whelans; and support slots with Britain's Egyptian Hip Hop and US band Wilde Belle. Their single ‘Tina’, reached No 7 in the Irish AirPlay charts and is still receiving heavy rotation on nationwide radio.

Weekend tickets are €15/12 and day tickets are €10/8 via www.monroes.ie
