The House Hotel, in the heart of The Latin Quarter, continues to raise the bar with their seasonal, delectable cocktails as they announce Aileen Cunningham as their new Head Cocktail Bartender.

Aileen, a Furbo native and fully qualified interior architect, has a serious taste for bartending and is looking forward to uncorking her creative juices in an upcoming new menu. She has also attended the highly acclaimed Dublin Bar Academy, receiving a formal qualification in mixology.

Kicking off the widely anticipated Galway Food Festival Aileen is joining forces with The House Hotel Head Chef Kevin Hynes to present their first in-house event ‘Dare to Pair: Cocktails & Food’. The event which takes place on Thursday, April 2 at 8pm, will offer an insight into cocktail and food pairing. (Tickets are available from The House Hotel and are priced at €25 ). Aileen believes the fact that restaurants around the country are beginning to offer food-cocktail pairings is a testament to how far cocktails have come in recent years.

“There’s a great vibe around Galway and it’s coming into a nice time of year. Festivals are about to kick off and it’s nice to be able to stand over what we create here. The House continues to be ‘the place to party’ and I’m excited to show off the extinct of what we do. We have a great team and it’s great to see the hotel go from strength to strength. With Kevin in as new Head Chef I’d be keeping your eyes peeled for what’s to come next!”

Fabulous Fridays continue at The House Hotel where you can enjoy €6 cocktails, live music from a selection of top Galway bands, late bar and a great atmosphere. The weekend really does start at The House Hotel.
