Small Size Day

Theatre shows for very young children

TWO SHOWS will be staged in the Town Hall Theatre studio on Saturday January 31 as part of Small Size Day - a theatre initiative for young children.

Mollylu’s Circus Playtime, by Maria Auletta, is about a girl who has fun with the objects she finds - spinning plates become hats, rings become necklaces, and scarves become a skirt - but she doesn’t want to play alone, so she invites children and parents to join in and learn some new skills. For ages four to six, at 10am and 11am

Pignut Productions’ The Fairy Fixers is a gently humorous show about an agency that provides medical aid to injured fairies, but when they arrive to catch a shy fairy and mend her broken wing, they are going to find they need help from the audience. For ages two to four, 1pm and 3pm.

The shows are presented by Baboró International Arts Festival for Children. Small Size Days will take place annually over the last weekend of January to create a groundswell of activity, space and time for young children.

Tickets are €5 while a family ticket is €16 and available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
