Galway county councillor Mary Hoade was re-elected to the Fianna Fáil Ard Comhairle at the party’s Ard Fheis in Dublin.
The Headford based councillor retained her seat on the Committee of Twenty, which represents grass-roots members on the party’s National Executive.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin congratulated Cllr Hoade on her election, saying he was “confident she will continue to play an important part in key organisational and policy decisions over the next year”.
