Come back with a job, judge warns

Judge James Faughnan issued his warning to Scott Skinner, Church View, Tuam who came before Tuam District Court charged with a public order offence.

The judge heard Garda evidence that Skinner was drunk and making a nuisance of himself outside a nightclub in the town. The Garda witness that he didn’t cause difficulties for them when dealing with him.

The court heard the defendant had nine previous convictions, including ones for assault and robbery, and had been sentenced to four years and six months in prison in the past.

Eric Gleeson solicitor (defending ) pleaded that his client had a troubled family background. He had been working in a bar in Tralee but had moved back to Tuam three or four months ago and wasn’t working. His partner is pregnant.
