Gardai in Salthill are investigating after a car which had broken down was broken into an set alight.
On Sunday, the car was broken down in Tonabrocky in Rahoon and the owner left to get assistance.
When the owner returned the vehicle had its windows broken and had also been damaged by fire.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or with any other information to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720.
Meanwhile last week, Between 6pm and 11pm on Thursday February 26, a silver Honda Freed and a black Honda Insight had all four tyres slashed while parked outside a house in Carraig Liath, Laurel Park in Newcastle.
