Appeal for witnesses to Moycullen incident

On Saturday May 14 at approximately 8.50am a male was cycling from Moycullen village in the direction of Galway when it is alleged he was struck by a car at Ballyquirke, Moycullen close to the entrance to the Wildlands Adventure Centre.

Gardaí are very anxious to speak with the driver of this vehicle and would ask them to make contact. They are also appealing to anyone who may have been travelling through Moycullen just before 9am on Saturday May 14 and may have witnessed the incident or road users in the area at the time that may have dash-cam footage to contact investigating gardaí.

Games console stolen in city burglary

Between 10am and 10.30am on Monday June 6 a house at Shantalla Road, Newcastle was broken into. During the course of the burglary a PlayStation games console was taken from the property.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anything unusual in or around the Shantalla Road area on Monday or anyone with any information in relation to the stolen PlayStation to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Damage to car in car park

Sometime between 8am and 7.20pm on Tuesday May 31 extensive damage was caused to the front bumper and side panels of a grey Toyota Auris that was parked in a car park on Merchants Road, Galway.

It is likely that this damage was caused by another vehicle and gardaí are asking anyone who may have been witnessed this damage being caused or anyone with any information on how this damage occurred to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-388030.

At around 12.45am on Thursday June 2 the glass panels of a patio door at the front of a property at Clareview Park, Ballybane were damaged.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused or anyone who may have been in the Clareview Park area after midnight on Thursday who may have seen anything that could help Gardaí with their investigation to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

At around 12.30am on Sunday June 5 the front door of a property at Sliabh Rua, Ballybane was damaged. Anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused or anyone who may have information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.

Theft of pedal cycle

Sometime between 7pm on Wednesday June 1 and 9am on Thursday June 2 a blue and white racing bike was stolen from the rear garden of a house at The Village, Wellpark.

Anyone with any information in relation to the theft of this bike or anyone who may have been offered a similar bike for sale and believes it may be stolen is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
