The Pink Ladies Afternoon Tea is back this October at the g Hotel for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

There is nothing like gathering together for a stylish afternoon tea, and it is even better when you are helping to raise much needed funds for charity.

The five star g Hotel will be in the pink again for the full month of October as it hosts its annual Pink Ladies Afternoon Tea in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

To support the charity and help highlight the need for breast cancer research, during October the hotel is offering a very special ‘PINK’ themed afternoon tea for just €35 per person, with €2 from every booking donated to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. For an extra special treat why not add a glass of Champagne Taittinger and a further €1 donation will be added. At the end of the month, the g Hotel & Spa will also match the full amount donated by customers and add it to the total amount to be donated to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Based at the Lambe Institute, the National Breast Cancer Research Institute is a national charity that funds a comprehensive research programme at the University of Galway led by Professor Michael Kerin. In Ireland, one in seven women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. It is the second most common cancer in Irish women in Ireland after skin cancer, and the most common cancer in women over 50. The role of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute is paramount, as its research can help to ascertain the causes and factors that influence breast cancer and therefore help to develop effective screening, treatments, and medication to combat it.

Patrick Murphy, general manager at the g Hotel & Spa, said: “We are delighted to host the Pink Ladies Afternoon Tea again this October to help raise much needed funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. Last year this initiative at the g raised over €3,500, and we hope to greatly expand on this in 2022 now that we can thankfully be together again to enjoy great company and food in our wonderful surroundings.”

The Pink Ladies Afternoon Tea is €35 per person with a €2 donation for every booking made in the month of October.

By adding a glass of Champagne Taittinger (€22 per glass ) a further €1 donation will be made to the charity.

The g Hotel will also match all donations raised by customers to present to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute at the end of October.
