Sunshine, sea swims, tanned legs, and Tayto crisps.

Aphrodite.

Mikel Murphy – he weaves magic with his voice and body.

Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

I can be impatient, especially with my gorgeous parents.

What is your greatest extravagance?

My Volvo! However, on a daily basis, it’s bread. I love fancy bread.

What is your favourite journey?

I lived in London for many years and walking over Waterloo Bridge on a sunny day never ceased to amaze me.

On what occasion do you lie?

Everyday! Mammy, do you want to play crawling tag? “Of course I do”.

Which living person do you most despise?

Putin.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

His name is Stephen D’Arcy.

When and where were you happiest?

I am happiest in a rehearsal room puzzling over a text.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I’d love to be a singer-songwriter.

What is your current state of mind?

Focussed and hopeful.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

My relationship with the men in my life: Stephen (46 ), Cualann (5 ) and Jude (1 ).

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

A notebook.

What is your most treasured possession?

An Alpaca blanket my friend gave me when my son was born. I call it my Peig Sayers.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Homelessness and displacement.

What is your favourite occupation?

Reading.

What is the quality you most like in a man?

Humour, and nice arms.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

Humour, and a touch of madness.
