Hound Of The Baskervilles revisited

A classic Sherlock Holmes case as re-imagined by Rod Goodall and Steve Johnston

SIR ARTHUR Conan Doyle's celebrated Gothic detective story, The Hound Of The Baskervilles, with Sherlock Holmes investigating sightings of a demonic dog, comes to the stage in a production by Rod Goodall and Steve Johnston.

Goodall and Johnston were stalwarts and original members of Footsbarn Theatre Company, which provided some of the highlights of Galway Arts Festivals of the 1980s and 1990s.

The duo will present, and star in, this stage adaptation, at The Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane, on Saturday October 12 at 8.30pm. Johnston will play Holmes with Goodall playing Dr Watson and a host of other characters. The show will also feature music written by the pair.

The show is suitable for all ages. It is part of the 'Druid Sessions' organised by Ollie Jennings. Booking is via the Druid box office (091 - 568660 ) or www.druid.ie
