Joyce’s Supermarkets supports local

Over the last number of years there has been a surge in the number of Irish brands popping up in the off licence section of your local store.

Joyce’s Supermarket has always been keen to show support to these brands as it believes in supporting local in any way it can. Here are some of the superb Galway brands which you will find in the off licence of your local Joyce’s Supermarket;

- Galway Hooker - a pioneer of the modern craft beer movement, famous for its innovation and quality, Galway Hooker has developed a reputation as one of Ireland’s leading breweries. Its ethos is to brew natural, full flavoured, high quality, and preservative free beers.

- Galway Cider Company - Galway cider is crafted with 100 per cent Irish apples to produce a sweet and ripe red apple flavour with a crisp slightly dry finish. Great on sunny (and not so sunny ) days to give you that refreshing hit.

- Galway Bay Brewery - The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains its flagship pub based in Salthill. The owners added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. The pub now produces four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.

- Micil Distillery: Micil Distillery is named after Pádraic’s great-great-great grandfather, Micil Mac Chearra who began distilling in 1848 in Connemara. Six generations and 170 years later, the distillery continues to make spirits with the same love and care that Pádraic’s forefathers have done.
