Red Bean at The Clayton Hotel Galway

The Clayton Hotel has plenty of strings to its bow. You can enjoy a swim in the 20 metre swimming pool which has an all-around depth of 1.2 metres, popular with families who are residents of the hotel. A range of swimming classes, aqua aerobics classes, group swimming classes, and one-to-one swimming lessons for both adults and children are available throughout the year. The leisure centre at Clayton Hotel Galway is also home to baby swim classes by Waterbabies Galway.

Pool membership options are available all year around, with a range of membership options available from three to 12 months in duration. You can relax after your swim in the peaceful ambiance of the mixed Swedish style sauna and steam room.

The bar and bistro is everything you would expect from a hotel bar. Offering a choice of dining options brought to you by the highly amusing chef Patrick Loewen, and during the day the bar and restaurant is a hub of meetings and friends having lunch. By night the atmosphere is fun and relaxed, it is a place to enjoy good food and drinks, served by highly trained, friendly and professional staff. There is a great selection of beverages, a relaxed atmosphere, and most importantly, good food. It is perfect for casual dining and meeting with friends, family, or work colleagues.

The bar has more traditional elements to it than the rest of the ultra modern hotel. The bar counter takes pride of place in the centre of the room, catering for approximately 80 to 120 covers per night on average, with everything else gathered round it. There is one full wall of floor to ceiling windows providing ample natural daylight, the dark wood creates a laid back vibe. Recent upgrades have seen an improvement in the day time offering.

The Red Bean Roastery cafe has lovely salads, sandwiches, and other choices, all very competitively priced. This is a great local restaurant which continues to please with its varied menu. It has become firmly rooted in the community and developed strong relationships with the customers. The team recognise that an emphasis placed firmly on customer service, choice, and value will ensure their popularity. The staff are all enthusiastic and personable without exception — they clearly enjoy what they do. The Clayton Hotel ticks a lot of boxes.
