Andrew Ryan for the Comedy KARLnival

The award winning Corkonian comes to the Róisín Dubh, with support from Patser Murray and Brossie

ANDREW RYAN delivers "an hour of hilarious comedy”, according to the Edinburgh Festival magazine, and is "going to be a huge star”, says Timeout. He is also coming to the Róisín Dubh's Comedy KARLnival next week.

Ryan’s storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly, demeanour have seen the Corkonian become one of the most in-demand acts on the British comedy circuit, performing on Russell Howard’s Good News, at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway, and The Blame Game. His show Sure, You Know Yourself won ‘Best New Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.

Support is from Patser Murray, who has acted in Love/Hate, Can't Cope Won't Cope, and the film Intermission, and performed stand-up in the International Bar, Laughter Lounge, City Limits Cork, and The Empire Belfast. He has supported Jason Byrne and performed improvised skits with Jimmy Carr. Also on the bill is Brossie, a pseudonym to protect her identity and wickedly sharp sense of humour from her primary school students.

The show is on Tuesday May 21. The MC is Karl Spain. Doors are at 8pm. Tickets are €8 in advance from Róisín Dubh; www.roisindubh.net; or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; or €10 at the door.
