Father Ted's Eoin McLove headlines a night of laughter in the Róisín Dubh

PAT MCDONNELL will always be best known for his Daniel O'Donnell spoofing Eoin McLove character on Father Ted, but it should never be forgotten what an accomplished and respected stand-up comedian he is.

Pat McDonnell headlines the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday April 16 at 8pm. He has appeared on Moone Boy and Naked Camera, and written and performed for The Savage Eye. has called him "an impressive and persuasively tub-thumping performance”.

Also performing is Ballinasloe's Breda Larkin, regarded as 'Ireland's only queer rural comic', who mixes storytelling and comedy songs. She has supported Karl Spain, PJ Gallagher, and the Lords of Strut.

Support is from David Gilna, an award-winning playwright from Dublin. He has performed at The Olympia Theatre, Electric Picnic, Leicester Square Theatre, Swords Castle, Teatro Electra, The Empire, and Fossett's Circus.
