GTI’s sparkling first campaign sees them through to Wednesday’s final

GTI’s soccer team is set for its first final after a sparkling campaign in the Combined Colleges division one league. They will take on Dundalk IT next Wednesday (February 16) in Leixlip, Co Kildare (2pm).
Having only entered the competition for the first time this year, the GTI team, managed by Johnny Glynn, finished top of their group, losing only a single game, before overcoming Carlow IT and two-time finalists Sallynoggin in the quarter and semi-finals respectively.

Iarnród Éireann will run a special train for the All Ireland Club Championship final, St James v Lisnaskea Emmetts in Croke Park on Saturday February 12. The train returns to Galway after the match, departing Dublin Heuston Station at 22.05hrs (10.05pm). This train arrives in Galway at 00.15hrs. Supporters may travel to Dublin on 11.05hrs, 13.05hrs and 15.05hrs regular services. Advance booking is essential and supporters will not be able to board trains unless they are in possession of train ticket.
